That was the day when we were working in 'ZBrush Core Mini' to learn and practice our understanding of 3D reality and how to sculpt things in that program.

Dev Day (ZBrush 3D modelling
workshop) part 1

October 27, 2020

In this day, I played a little bit with tools available in that program and created a few sculptures.
I like sculpting in real life, so for me, it was similar as if I would try to do something from plasticine or polymer clay.

That was a quite interesting and fun experience. I enjoyed this lesson with Dav. Even some of those face sculptures look strange and hilarious.

I was trying to learn ZBrush before, but this Core Mini was much more friendly oriented to new users.

I think I managed to get through that lesson quite well. But of course, their many things that might be improved in future. As more I would be practising with that 3D modelling skill as better, it would become sooner or later if I follow Dev recommendations.

workshop part 2)

On this workshop, we started from worm up by making just a random had. Last time I don't have a chance to make a proper human real proportion head, so I tried making it in this time.

However, straight after that Dev told us to add stick hand and legs. That was quite fun. And now I got this guy who looks like hant some hugs.

After that, I tried a different type of 3D modelling, when you do not add "clay", but you chopping part of it to actually made a figure.

I use the cube starting shape and draw out a body part on it on the side view.

Then I carve my body part from the start cube.

Mostly I do not add any "bulk", just a little bit at the end.

That was quite an interesting experiment with modelling, and that was quite useful. So we actually were forced to go out of our "comfort box" when all of us just were adding "clay" on the sphere. That method of "chopping out" looked like a wood carving. You need to plan what you wont to get from the started pice of "wood" before you start making anything.

Day of 3D Printing, Photoshop
                                    & Indesign

November 16-17, 2020

In this section, I learn how to use FlashPrint for 3D printing.

So for 3D model, I firstly create a figure in ZBrush and than save it in 'obj' format.
Then by using FlashPrint, I add some supports to model, so it would be possible for 3D Printer to print it correctly.

Then the teacher print this model for me (because I wasn't in the UK at that time), however, I would like to redo that part later. Because in future works, knowledge of how to print anything on 3D printer would be quite helpful. For example, if I'll try to do a stop-motion animation for my projects.
