Character Pose Sheets
First, I decided to start with the most simple emotion to present: Anger.
However, as I worked on them, I discovered I was wrong. It's not that simple. Here were simple sketches, but there was not enough emotion in them.
So I start reworking poses. Some of them I decide to remove permanently.
As an example, pose №4 (Which becomes №2)
This pose was too dull to look at. So I started to exaggerate the pressure in it. The first rework was something off. But 2nd one was good and actually threatening.
And at the end, I got really good and solid poses that I think were one of the best I could've made.
So with the second emotion, everything was much easier. But I definitely can say that this poses looks much more realistic than the previous page. And my style changed agene as I started drawing Disgust poses.
Developing Characters From Shapes
Character Profile
Before creating the character, I decided to start with the most basic creation of the mood board.
In the concept itself, I initially wanted a character that would include not one personality but two at once. After all, coexisting personalities interact with each other all the time, often raising questions that a person may not even think about, such as the presence of personal space and its violation, a sharp change in the pace of life, cohabitation with new people, etc.
So the first thing I did was start putting in all sorts of pictures for the mood board.
The main character is a scientist who, outside of his main job, is highly interested in getting into parallel worlds. And the first place that he would like to visit, and the existence of which is known to science, is the 4th dimension.
That's where his second side comes from.
A being that existed in the fourth dimension, a place that is inaccessible to the human eye most of the time.
Their world is similar to ours but still different, due to the presence of 4 sides of the dimension (w), in addition to the basic "x", "y" and "z" familiar to us.
There are two theories of what this "w" can be. Some scientists say that this is time itself, and beings from this dimension can change their age as they wish. However, based on a more mathematical view of the question, "w" is the axis of moving inward and outward. And that's what I plan to set the second part of my character.
